I started imagining ancient Egypt, the people who lived there, and what a beautiful woman’s perfume might have smelled like. At the same time, I kept thinking about the dry cloth used to wrap a mummy. I wanted to bring those two pictures together: something pretty and elegant against something dry, almost dusty. That was the idea behind Mummy Musk. An Egyptian-musk skin scent with a softness you want to get closer to, and that dry feeling running through it. This is my own imagined version of that world. The part that interested me was how those two sides could belong in the same fragrance.
